"Monroe County Habitat for Humanity is a financially independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. It is a volunteer based, non-profit, ecumenical housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide by making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people from all faiths and walks of life to work together in partnership, building houses with families in need. Habitat provides ownership of adequate housing to eligible families through no-interest mortgages."

TOUCH OF HOME
Touch of Home is an outreach ministry started over 20 years ago by the WELCA Ladies. Currently the packages are prepared by the Sunday Church School Children and other volunteers. Correct mailing addresses are collected and given to the church secretary to type and make labels for packages to be mailed to students and military away from home, but connected to our church. Donations of candy, cookies, gum, snacks,dried soups, hot cereals,and anything else we can get together are used to fill these packages.
